Easy-PC and support for Windows 7
We are pleased to announce that as of October 27th 2009, Easy-PC Version 13 will be officially supported under the released version
of Windows 7 32 bit. Tests of Easy-PC V13 under Windows 7 at our research and development centre here in the UK show that there are no
major visible problems.
As an official Microsoft Development Partner, we are privileged to be constantly provided with the latest operating systems under the Partner Programme scheme.
This is a continual scheme with regular updates, including that of the latest ‘cut’ of Windows 7. This allows us to get a head start on checking out new versions for likely issues, and make the appropriate changes in our software. For Windows 7 we have so far found no issues specific to that platform.
As with all new operating systems, we only officially provide support of the current version of Easy-PC once the operating system itself
has been officially released by Microsoft. For Windows 7, we will only be able to support the released version and not any pre-release or
Beta versions.
We will continue our development testing of Easy-PC on this platform, and any problems found will be entered onto our defect tracking
system and fixed at an appropriate time depending on their 'severity'.
We will now be able to offer immediate critical fixes for any Windows 7 specific problems if reproduced on the released version. We will only be able to support Easy-PC version 13.0 and later under this operating system; no earlier versions will be supported.
