I'm on V19 so its too late for me, but...
It would be very helpfull if Right MouseDown + Drag = Pan.
Both in SCH and PCB. Just a suggestion, if its not already in place in the newer versions.

...or press and hold the scroll wheel down and move the mouse. You can reverse the pan direction on the 'Display' tab under [Settings], [Preferences].

Just use the "P" on the keyboard.
