If I highlight a track on a PCB layout and delete it using the Unroute Nets option then all is fine, but if I hit the "delete" key instead then the net associations of some connected pads are deleted too. Why is this?

You can also use the "Backspace" key to remove a segment of track whilst still keeping the net integrity.

There is an option in Preferences, PCB Interaction called 'Delete Track Does Unroute' that you need to enable. For some unknown reason it defaults to off, why would anyone want to alow the net integrity to be messed up like this??
