Hi!

Can anyone run me thro' the procedure for making a PCB Footprint for a 9 Pin Noval B9A Valve Base?

This is to mount on a replacement PCB design I'm designing for a vintage colour TV, once I've worked one out it should be straightforward to duplicate the steps for the 7 pin and 10 pin bases!

I believe the "Polar Grid" can make this much easier, but when I tried I ran into bother!

I'm using V24 with the latest update 24.0.3 by the way!

Under GRIDS et your grid to polar. Set the concentric step to the say the radius of the base terminals and set the divide circle to the number of terminals.
Click Grids visible and Only draw current grid.
Click the Origin box to follow design coordinate origin.

In the PCB screen set your System origin in the middle somewhere.
You should now see the polar grid and if you try and add a component hole it will snap to the desired position.
