Seriously, how do you reroute a track without wanting to kill yourself?
I must be doing it wrong because the reroute system is so bad that I end up deleting the entire track and redoing it.
Also deleting the track disconnects the pad from the net which is utterly idiotic in my opinion. |

You can select a segment of track and delete just the segment with "Backspace" key. I use this feature a lot.
Also,- Preferences=>PCB Interaction Delete section ,- untick "Delete Track Does Unroute" |

Thanks, F and I are super handy.
How do I stop this kind of thing after double clicking the end of a track to try route the rest of it?

"Esc", then click (select) on stub you wish to remove, then "Backspace" to delete the 45' segment you don't want, then click on the "elastic band" instead.

Go into Preferences, and on the PCB Interaction tab there is a Delete section. At the bottom of this is a 'Delete Track Does Unroute' checkbox. It is more than a little daft that this isn't the default, probably because in the bad old days we didn't even have this option. Whoever it was on the dev team that thought deleting conectivity information was the right way of doing things is an idiot! |

Thanks all. Things are a little more bearable at last.
For now, I am back and committed to the land of the living. |
