I am trying to rename the components on a board so that the bottom side reads from left to right when viewing from the back. I have tried ticking the checkbox which is labelled "Reverse Left-Right on Bottom Side" but it makes no difference and the components are always renamed from left to right as looking from the top of the board. Has anyone ever had success with this?

John, I faffed about with this a while back .... just renaming both sides, I finally gave up BUT I although I’m not sure about the exact circumstances it buggered up my design due to some kind of conflict and I ended up with a component being deleted in the PCB editor AND it didn’t report in the integrity check !!!!
Can’t help you on your original query, but I advice you double check your design !!!
Cheers

Hi Iain,
Thanks, the design has only a handful of components and they are all still there. I ended up renaming the components manually, but I will report the bug to Number One.

Bug reported and a patch supplied by support. Unfortunately, the problem is still there, so it's not fixed.
