Posted - 06 Nov 2016 : 04:29:35 I would like to know if there is a tool or some other trick that will allow me to automatically "clip" or otherwise remove a segment of trace that overhangs a component pad (either at the time of running connecting the trace or after the fact). In this specific example, I want to run a 40mil trace from a pad whose width is 35mil. I can do this manually by running a 35mil trace for a very short distance and then switching to a 40mil trace, but this is time consuming. This would be something analogous to a reverse teardrop
The image in the link shows the example to which I am referring. Is there a tool within the software that can do this? http://i.imgur.com/CfJL3Kh.png
I am running version 20.0.1 on a Windows 7 Machine.
Thanks, -Matt |
