 Unable to edit track segment

If I delete a segment of track , I cannot then select the 'connection' and redraw the segment.
Any ideas.
This is only happening in one of my projects all the others old and new are OK.

Check Settings =>Preferences=>PCB Interaction.
Under "Delete" section, untick "Delete Track Does Unroute.
