| Can someone please tell me how to make via’s without a thermal relief? I need them to connect to sides of the PCB to transfer the heat away from some power regulators. |

| You can add free vias (or stitch them) to your multilayered pcb, then either set the Settings=>Design Tech=>Rules => PowerPlanes to "Not Isolated" (Flooded) or select each thermal via, then go Properties =>Plane Connection, then "Not Isolated" |

And this will not connect via's which are not GND to the power plane?

You didn't mention a particular net before, -I assumed you'd already created a flood area of copper (heatsink area) on all appropriate layers in the stack which was already connected to the relevant net.
It's not recommended to use Powerplanes in EPC, -use plain copper (signal) layers and flood with copper if Powerplanes are required. (do a "Search" if you want more info). |

Sorry you lost me here. What I did was:
" Add --> Copper pour area " and select the whole bord.
then I did right click the copper pour area and selected right mouse button pour copper and selected the ground in the window.
I did ask this:

Because I was afraid that changing the options for the via's might connect NON gnd traces to the GND plane.
Can you please tell me if I am doing it wrong? I think I do not understand what you are writing.

The thermals must connect the heat tab of your regulators to the copper pour area, so what net is the heatsink tab of the regulator? Ground or some other potential?
If it's Ground then name the copper shape net Ground (or some other potential) and you will not have thermal breaks on the vias.
Try it, -it's WYSIWYG after all!
