i´m a beginner in Easy-PC. My problem is how to connect the schematic symbol with 2 terminals to the 4pins from the footprint. http://de.farnell.com/jsp/endecaSearch/partDetail.jsp?sku=9962832 The schematic symbol that i have made looks like a switch with 2 terminals. I hope that you understand my prob:-). When i build the component the prog says that the "Gate a has more terminals than XXXX(symbol), pins will be deleted from the gate". Sorry for my horrible english.
Sounds like you have your symbols crossed over. The schematic (the switch called gate a) should have two terminals, whereas the PCB footprint should have four terminals so there should be no conflict (i.e. two pins on the PCB footprint will not be used)
Ok, two pins on the footprint will not be used, but i want the router to choose the best connection for switch in the PCB-Design. So i want the router knows the existence of the "deleted" pins.
The router cannot "choose" which pins to use.... you must specify that in the schematic. Best thing to do is to show your switch as having four connections matching the four on the footprint. You can then choose which pair you want to use in your schematic. You can always change this later if it causes routing problems.
